5. Disassemble the throat plate ( p. 27).
6. Pull off the cover (3).
7. Loosen the screw (4).
8. Remove the feed dog (5).
Assembling the feed dog
To assemble the feed dog on 1-needle machines:
1. Place the feed dog (5).
2. Tighten the screw (4).
3. Insert the throat plate ( p. 27).
4. Assemble walking foot (1), presser foot (2) and needle.
5. Finish the service routine.
6. If necessary, adjust the feed dog height ( p. 49).
On 2-needle machines:

Proper setting
The feed dog does not touch the throat plate with the maximum permissi-
ble stitch length.
Disassembling the feed dog
To disassemble the feed dog on 2-needle machines:
1. Execute the service routine Feed dog > Assemble ( p. 14).
