To determine number of data bits and type of parity check, there are the following
possibilities:
8-bit no
Data bits: 8; parity: No
8-bit even Data bits: 8; parity: Even
7-bit even Data bits: 7; parity: Even
8-bit odd
Data bits: 8; parity: Odd
7-bit odd
Data bits: 7; parity: Odd
Stop Bits:
432:Interfaces
Stop bits: 1
Select '1' or '2'.
Acknowledge with [OK] key to exit function. Selected interface is configured.

5.3.2.3 Fct. 433:COMMUNICATION

This menu offers the functions for setting communication with external devices.

5.3.2.4 Fct. 4331:EDP

Use menu item to physically assign the EDP interface to one of the existing interface
outputs (S1 to S3).
NOTE: In addition, configure interface using menu item '432:Interfaces'.
If interface assignment produces a conflict with printer or secondary display,
system outputs an event message, e.g. 'M3406:Interface already open'. In
this event, the peripheral instruments have to be assigned differently to the
interfaces.
Before using function, set the following parameters:
Parameter
Scale Number
Determines DISOMAT logical
address; must always be included in
message header (also if DISOMAT
operates out of network).
EDP Interface
Physically assigns EDP interface to
available interface outputs (S1 to
S3). If no EDP system is connected,
select 'Off'.
