DISOMAT Overview
Entering Numbers
Numeric values are checked for plausibility. If a value is rejected, error message
'Value Too Big' or 'Value Too Small' is output.
Acknowledge message with [ENTER] key. Enter new value.
Entering Texts
Enter texts in form of strings. Normally, these are not checked for plausibility. So be
sure to enter useful values.
As already stated above, numbers may be entered in text form. This text can
be checked provided that the input uses a defined pattern, e.g. with function
'51:Date/Time' (see relevant item).

3.5.2.4 'Jumping' display

Inputs are especially used for parametering and configuring the scale that are also
used on scales that provide 40 characters per line. Inputs generaly consist of input
prompt and input point.
Inputs that only require 20 characters are treated 'normally'.
The first 20 characters are issued with inputs requiring more than 20 characters so
that you can read the input prompt. After 1.5 seconds, the display jumps to the left
until the entire input point can be seen. This cuts off characters left justified from the
input prompt .
The front and rear half is shown alternately with event messages that cannot be
shown completely in the display .
