Advanced Parallel

Up to four units of the same voltage and current ratings can be connected in parallel to provide up
to four times of the output current capability. One of the units operates as a master while the
remaining units operate as slaves. The configuration of the system (Master-Slave) is automatic.
Each unit configures itself according to advanced parallel cable connection.
1. Do not connect in Advanced Parallel, power supplies equipped with a Power Sink module
along with power supplies without Power Sink module if firmware revision is below 02.112.
An error will be shown (A.PRLL ERR4), refer to section 5.9.8.
2. Advanced Parallel connection of power supplies equipped with Power Sink module is
supported.
5.9.1

Advanced Parallel Connection (System Assembly)

Advanced parallel connection is established by connecting the master unit to a slave unit using
advanced parallel connection cable (G/P).
1.
Connect J7 (M) output connector from the master unit to the J6 (S) input connector of the
slave unit.
2.
To connect additional units, connect J7 (M) connector to the next unit J6 (S) connector.
3.
Repeat the procedure until all the units are connected.
Advanced Parallel System assembly must be performed while the Power Supplies are
disconnected from the grid (disconnected from the AC source).
5.9.2

Advanced Parallel Dis-Connection (System Dis-Assembly)

Advanced parallel disconnection is performed by disconnecting advanced parallel connection cable
(G/P), which is connected between a master unit and a slave unit (or between a slave unit and a
slave unit in case of multiple slave units).
1.
Disconnect J7 (M) output connector from the master unit and J6 (S) input connector from the
slave unit.
2.
If additional slave units are connected, disconnect J7 (M) connector from the unit and J6 (S)
connector from the next unit.
3.
Repeat the procedure until all the units are disconnected.
Advanced Parallel System disassembly must be performed while the Power Supplies are
disconnected from the grid (disconnected from the AC source).
