Injector Information
Service Utilities Menu - Option 2 - Injector Information
A WARNING
Always replace faulty fuel injectors with service injectors. Never use fuel injectors from other FFI™
watercraft, or change the order of the injectors on the engine, i.e. switching the PTO injector with
the MAG injector. Failure to adhere to this warning could cause serious engine damage.
NOTE: Each fuel injector's serial number and flow characteristics are loaded into the EMM during production.
This means that there is an unique relationship between the engine's EMM and its fuel injectors. Although
the 2000 FFI ™ Diagnostic software is compatible with 1999 Polaris Genesis FFI ™ watercraft, the 2000 FFI ™
diagnostic software will not be able to perform the functions contained in this section on 1999 Polaris Genesis
FFI™ watercraft.
FFI ™ engines that are capable of the new software functions have several visual cues:
• Each original injector will have a WHITE label with the injector's unique serial number. (See Page
9.23)
• Each EMM will have a YELLOW warning label that informs you about acceptable service practic
es. (See Page 9.23)
NOTE: You must use the 2000 FFI ™ diagnostic software, PN 2873377, when you perform either of the follow
ing service procedures on an engine that has the above capability:
• Replacing the EMM
• Replacing a Fuel Injector
The Injector Information option allows the user to view
the serial numbers given to each injector at the time of
production. The screen displays each injector and in
dicates which serial number belongs in each cylinder.
When servicing a 2000 Polaris Genesis FFI ™, always
verify that each injector is in its correct cylinder.

OR ANY OTHER KEY FOR MAIN MENU
On the INJECTOR INFORMATION screen,
type the number of the injector that has been
replaced. The serial number field will now
display "REPLACED".
NOTE: If you accidently changed the wrong injector to "REPLACED", type the cylinder number again to
toggle back to the original serial number. For identification purposes, all service replacement injectors have
a WHITE serial number label.
