b.Check the resistance of the coil without the
plug wires installed.
SPECIFICATION: 1200 to 1600 ohms (III.3)
2. Open the electrical box and check for correct con
nections between the stator, CDI, coils, and terminal
board. Inspect the wiring for incorrect connections or
physical damage.
A.Verify the correct installation of the Yellow stator wire
and Yellow/Purple jumper wire if so equipped.
a. Disconnect the stator from the electrical box
at the stator connector.
b. Connect the negative test lead of the ohm
meter to the black wire coming from the
stator and leave it connected for the duration
of test 2.
c. Connect the positive test lead to an engine
ground.
