Setting Up And Running The Program
The next screen is the Program Select Menu. At
this point, the computer is still not attempting
to communicate with the EMM. Options avail
able on this screen include:
FFI Diagnostics
Service Utilities
(Reports / Injectors / EMM)
Exit Program
To enter an option on this menu, press the number
to the left that corresponds with the desired func
tion.
The first time you run the program, it may need to
be configured.
Press the "F3" key from the title
screen to display the Com Port screen.
Changing a Com Port
The program can be configured to use any com
port. The initial default is com 1. Consult the docu
mentation for your computer to determine the
name of the port you have plugged the diagnostic
communication cable into. Set the diagnostic pro
gram to use the same port.
To change the default com port, press the "F3" key
from the Title screen or the Main Menu. This will
cause the Com Port screen to display. The Select
Com Port screen displays a numbered list of com
ports.
Type the com port number you desire.
When you exit the Com Port screen, a message in
forms you to restart the program for the new de
fault com port setting to take affect.
Selecting a Display Mode
By default, the program starts with a monochrome display. This ensures compatibility with the widest array
of available laptop computers. If you are using a color display, press "F2" to switch to the color mode.
NOTE: The com port and screen mode (color or monochrome) that is being used, when the program is shut
down, will automatically be used the next time you start the program.
