Fuel Sender Operation and Sender Testing
The fuel gauge is operated through a voltage signal at the
fuel tank sending unit.
The sending unit resistance
changes with the height of the float in the sender. To
check for proper sending unit operation connect an ohm-

Fuel Pump Module Testing
NOTE: Fuel Pump Modules have to be replaced as a complete unit. They should not be disassembled in any
way. If one of the components tests bad, the whole unit must be replaced.
Gasoline Safety
A WARNING
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive under certain conditions.
Always exercise extreme caution whenever handling gasoline.
Always refuel with the engine stopped and outdoors or in a well ventilated area.
Do not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in or near the area where refueling is performed or where
gasoline is stored.
Do not over fill the tank. (Do not fill the tank neck.)
If you get gasoline on your skin or clothing, immediately wash it off with soap and water and change clothing.
Never start the engine or let it run in an enclosed area. Gasoline powered engine exhaust fumes are
poisonous and can cause loss of consciousness and death in a short time.
Shut off fuel valve whenever the watercraft is stored or parked.
