Entering and activating parameters
To transfer a parameter value entered in
the Device control menu to the active
configuration, it must be confirmed with
the Enter key.
1.
Enter the desired value in the parame-
ter field.
The background color of the parame-
ter field changes to blue.
2.
Confirm the entry by pressing the
Enter key.
The field returns to its original back-
ground color.
Saving a configuration in the device
All options marked with an asterisk in the
Device control menu can be saved in the
EEPROM in the device.
In this case, the settings are retained even
if the device is switched off or disconnec-
ted from the power source.
1.
Click on the Advanced tab.
2.
Click on the Save device settings
button.
Saving a safety-relevant locked area
We recommend saving a configuration in
the device especially if a safety-relevant
locked area is configured in the Advan-
ced tab.
If the locked area was configured but
not saved via Save device settings,
then a dialog box appears after
clicking the Start button (to start a
measurement).
X If you now want to save the locked
area (and the other options marked
with an asterisk) in the device, click
the OK button.
X Otherwise, click on the Cancel
button.
The settings are active during the
measurement, but must be configu-
red again when the device is switched
off or disconnected from the power
source.
