Safety Circuit

Connect this port to your laser system (Safety PLC or Emergency off).
The Safety Interlock protects the MSM+ HB from damage by switching off the laser in the following cases:
The voltage supply at the MSM+ HB is not connected or interrupted
There is an overtemperature at the absorber
A referencing procedure is triggered during the measurement
The interlock connection provides two redundant safety circuits.
NOTICE
Danger of damage due to overheating
If the safety circuit is not connected, the device can be damaged due to overheating.
X Only operate the device with a correctly connected safety circuit
X Check that the laser is switched off properly by the external safety circuit in the event of a
fault.

Pin assignment of the safety interlock connector
If the safety interlock is triggered, pin 1 and pin 2 (pin 4 and pin 5) are connected. If the values correspond to
the operating conditions, pin 1 and pin 3 (pin 4 and pin 6) are connected.
Pin 7 and 8 must be connected. Otherwise the interlock circuit is not active.
