Idle gear

Dismantling and operational check
• Take out the 3 Allen screws R inside the flywheel Tso that
the sprag clutch housing Y can be removed.
• Pull the idle gear U from its housing and inspect the wearing
surface and the bore sprag clutch Y for galling, deformation
or discoloration. Replace the sprag clutch if this surface is
damaged.
• Check the idle gear rollers I for damage. The retaining
spring must not be stretched and must hold the rollers fully
against the sprag clutch gear.
Preassembly
• When the idle gear U is fitted into the sprag clutch housing
Y, the safety ring A must go against the recess in the idle
sprag clutch housing. When fitting the flywheel T, fit the idle
gearU on to the flywheel by hand so that the idle gear safety
ring goes between the flywheel and the sprag clutch housing
Y.
• Fit the flywheel to the sprag clutch housing with 3 M8x16
Allen screws R. Apply LOCTITE 648 to the screws.
Torque wrench setting
30 Nm

Starter motor

• Inspect the starter motor gear for wear, galling, or deformation.
• Inspect the starter motor gear W for signs of wear, galling,
discoloration or deformation. Inspect the O-ring E. If it is not
in perfect condition, replace it.
N Note:
If it is not possible to repair the starter
motor, replace the complete starter motor.
• Replace the complete starter motor if defective.

Ruota libera

Smontaggio e controllo della funzionalità
• Dopo aver tolto le 3 viti a brugola R all'interno del volano T,
la flangia Y per ruota libera può essere rimossa.
• Estrarre la ruota libera U dalla flangia e controllare se la
superficie di lavoro della ruota libera nella sua flangia
presenta usura. Se c'è deformazione di questa superficie,
sostituire la flangia ruota libera.
• Controllare se i rulli I della ruota libera sono danneggiati.
La molla di ritenuta non deve essere allungata ma deve
ritenere i rulli completamente sull'ingranaggio ruota libera.
Premontaggio
• All'inserimento della ruota libera U nella flangia ruota libera

Y l'anello di sicurezza A deve far battuta nell'incavo della
flangia ruota libera. Al montaggio del volano T la ruota libera
U viene fissata a mano e montata sul volano in modo che
l'anello di sicurezza della ruota libera si trovi fra il volano e
la flangia ruota libera Y.
• Fissare il volano sulla flangia ruota libera con 3 viti a
brugola M8x16 R. Fissare le viti con LOCTITE 648.
Coppia di serraggio 30 Nm

Motorino d'avviamento

• Controllare se la dentatura W del motorino d'avviamento Q
presenta rottura di materiale, usura o deformazione.
• Controllare se l'anello OR E fra il motorino ed il carter motore

presenta usura o danneggiamento, sostituire se necessario.
N Nota:
Non è prevista la riparazione del motorino
d'avviamento.
• Se difettoso, sostituire il motorino d'avviamento completo.
