7.1.3 Media-related troubleshooting

(1) The media deviates or is torn during initialization.
Notes
•
If the media is jammed or torn, remove it according to "The media is jammed."
N° Possible cause
1 Are you using the dedicated media?
2 Is the loading position of the media correct?
3 Is the scroller set correctly?
Are there any foreign materials such paper

attached to the pressure rollers?
Is the plotter being used in an environment
5 other than the one specified, such as in direct
sunlight?
6 Did you load sheet media?
7 Are you using folded, torn or rolled media?
8 Does the media curl or float?

Remedy
Use the dedicated media.
Set the media correctly.
Set the scroller correctly.
Clean the pressure rollers.
Only use the plotter in an environment
that is specified for use.
Set the media size detection method to
"Vert." or "Hori.".
Replace the media.
Use dedicated media.
If media that is not dedicated is used, set
the following items in the MediaSet Menu.
