3.8 REPLACING THE WASTE FLUID TANK

Be sure to read and understand the safety warnings before handling the printer.
Describes the replacement time and replacement method for the waste fluid tank.
(1) Replacement time
Replace the waste fluid tank if...
..."NearFullWasteInkTank" is displayed on the operation panel.
• The waste fluid tank shortly will become full.
•
Printing continues.
Action: Prepare a waste fluid tank for replacement before the waste fluid tank is full.
..."FullWasteInkTank" is displayed on the operation panel.
• The waste fluid tank is full.
•
Printing stops.
Action: Immediately replace the waste fluid tank.

(3) Replacement steps
To replace the waste fluid tank, follow the 5 steps below.
Step 1 : Verify that the plotter has been switched ON.
Step 2 : Pull out the waste fluid tank (1) as shown on the image below.
Result: "No Waste-InkTank" will be displayed on the operation panel.
Notes
•
A used waste fluid tank must be put in a vinyl bag or bag used for this kind of waste. Disposal of a
waste fluid tank has to be done in compliance with the regulations and instructions of the local
authorities.
