7.1.4 Printing-related troubleshooting

(1) Printing is partially stained or incomplete.

•
Proper print quality may not be obtained with the media other than the dedicated one.

Does the media include

moisture?
Using the media with folds

and wrinkles?
3 Does the media curl or float?
(2) The order of printing is incorrect (There are some places that cannot be printed).
N° Possible cause
Is the loading position of the media

correct?
2 Set the Scale and Mirror?
3 Set the origin and print position?
(3) Printing is blurred.
N° Possible cause
Are you using the dedicated

media?
2 Using thick and thin media?
3 Using standard media?
4 Is the media setup correct?
5 Printing on the printing surface?
(4) White or black lines appear on the printing.
N° Possible cause
1 Are you using dedicated media?
2 Is the scroller set correctly?
3 Are the nozzles in good condition?
(5) Printing lines are not straight.
N° Possible cause
1 Is the ink cartridge within the validity period?
2 Are you using dedicated media?
3 Is the printer correctly aligned?
(6) Printing lines are duplicated or are patchy.
N° Possible cause
1 Are the head nozzles in good condition?
Replace it with new media.
Use the dedicated media.
If media that is not dedicated is used, set the following
items in the MediaSet Menu.
· Media
· Stiffness
Set the media correctly.
Cancel or reset the Scale and Mirror settings.
Cancel or reset the settings of the origin and
print position.
Use the dedicated media.
Use the dedicated media.
Use the dedicated media.
Set up the media correctly.
Confirm the printing surface of the media and set it
correctly.
Use dedicated media.
Set the scroller correctly.
Perform head cleaning.
Use a new ink cartridge.
