10B-32 AIR BAG SYSTEM
DTC 32 – POWER SOURCE VOLTAGE LOW
STEP
1
1) Measure voltage on battery.
2) Is voltage 11 V or more?

1) With ignition switch OFF, disconnect SDM ("A")
connector.
2) Check proper connection to SDM at "A4" termi-
nal.
3) If OK then ignition switch ON, and then check
voltage from "A4" terminal on SDM ("A") con-
nector to body ground.
4) Is voltage 8 V or more?

1) With ignition switch OFF, disconnect "E" con-
nector.
2) Check proper connection at "R" wire terminal
in "E" connector.
3) If OK then ignition switch ON, and then check
voltage from "R" wire terminal (2) in "E" con-
nector (1) on main harness to body ground.
4) Is voltage 8 V or more?

1) With ignition switch OFF, reconnect SDM ("A")
connector.
2) With ignition switch ON, is DTC 32 current?

NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform following items.
1) Reconnect all air bag system components, ensure all components are properly mounted.
2) Clear diagnostic trouble codes (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CLEARANCE), if any.
3) Repeat AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
ACTION

YES
Go to Step 2.
Go to Step 4.
Repair poor connec-
tion, high resistance
in "R" or "B/Y" circuit
of air bag harness or
"AIR BAG" fuse.
Substitute a known-
good SDM and re-
check.

Check Charging System
and repair as necessary.

Go to Step 3.
Possibly faulty points are
as follows. Check each of
them and repair as neces-
sary.
