6E1-32 ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
WARNING:
When performing road test, select a safe place where no other person or running vehicle is present
so as to prevent any accident and be very careful while testing to ensure safety.
Road test should be performed with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
DTC NO. 11
1) Clear DTC. Refer to DTC CLEARANCE in this section.
2) Start engine.
3) Maintain engine speed at 2000 r/min or higher for 5 seconds.
4) Check DTC. Refer DTC CHECK in this section.
DTC NO. 13 18 17 19
1) Clear DTC. Refer to DTC CLEARANCE in this section.
2) Turn ignition switch to ON position for 5 seconds or more.
3) Check DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK in this section.
DTC NO. 14
1) Clear DTC. Refer to DTC CLEARANCE in this section.
2) Perform HO2S output signal check referring to Step 2 of DTC No. 14 Diag. Flow Table.
DTC NO. 15
1) Clear DTC. Refer to DTC CLEARANCE in this section.
2) Crank engine for 5 seconds or more.
4) Check DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK in this section.
DTC NO. 16
1) Clear DTC. Refer to DTC CLEARANCE in this section.
2) Start engine.
3) Run engine to normal operating temperature.
4) Increase engine speed to 4000 r/min in 3rd gear in case of
M/T model and "2" range in case of A/T model.
5) Release accelerator pedal and with engine brake applied,
keep vehicle coasting for 7 to 10 seconds till engine speed
reaches 2000 r/min.
6) Repeat above steps 4) and 5) 3 times or more.
7) Stop vehicle.
8) Check DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK in this section.
