27) Clean mating surface of guide case.
28) Install gear shift and select shaft assembly (1) with new gasket
into transmission and tighten it to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 23 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)
29) Install washer and gear shift interlock bolt (2) applied with seal-
ant and then tighten it to specified torque.
"A": Sealant 99000-31110
Tightening Torque
(b): 23 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)
30) Install washer and 5th to reverse interlock guide bolt (3) ap-
plied with sealant and then tighten it to specified torque.
"A": Sealant 99000-31110
Tightening Torque
(c): 23 N·m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)
31) Tighten back up light switch (4) to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(d): 19 N·m (1.9 kg-m, 13.5 lb-ft)
32) Check input shaft for rotation in each gear position.
33) Also confirm function of back up light switch in reverse position
using ohmmeter.
