4.10 Safety Integrated commissioning
Effectiveness of the SOS function:
The SOS function comes into effect in the following cases:
● After SOS is selected and the delay time (in p9551) has expired
The drive must be braked to standstill within this delay time, e.g. by the controller.
● As a consequence of SS2
● As a consequence of STOP C (corresponds to selection of SS2)
● As a consequence of STOP D (corresponds to selection of SOS)
● As a consequence of STOP E (corresponds to selection of SOS with additional activation
of the standard "Extended stop and retract (ESR)" function)
You can see whether SOS is active by the green "SOS active" LED in the "Diagnostics
(Page 286)" screen form.
Response of the SOS standstill monitoring
If the standstill tolerance is violated (in p9530), the drive reacts as follows:
● STOP B with subsequent STOP A
● Safety message C01707
Configuring the monitoring
1. Enter the required value in the "Delay time SOS -> SOS active" (p9551) field.

2. Enter the required value in the "Standstill tolerance" (p9551) field.
Alternatively, you can also click "Standstill tolerance SOS". A dialog with a graphic display
of the standstill tolerance opens. You can also enter the standstill tolerance here.
3. Click "Save project" in the toolbar to save the changes in the project.
