Concatenating Configuration Commands
Commands can be concatenated (added together) in a single string or data block.
Serial Command Status Request
To ensure that any command was received and accepted, you can send the Show
Reader Status command: <?>.
The status of a specific serial command can be requested by entering the command fol-
lowed by a question mark, for example <K101?>. To see all K commands, send a
<K?>
command.
With the MS-860, each K command is framed with a preamble and postamble and may
be mixed with bar code symbol data. To prevent this, send an
scanning before sending the K request. Follow the K request with an
restore scanning.
Entering Special Characters in Serial Commands
To enter control characters within a serial command, hold down the control key while
typing the desired character.
