4.1.2 "Maintenance is in progress" Message Display by the
LCD Panel
To indicate that a maintenance is being performed on the RU, the LCD panel reads
"Maintenance is in progress".
n Conditions Under Which the Message "Maintenance is in
progress" Appears
A command for changing the contents of the flash memory is executed during the use
of RU software version 1.2 or later and RU PC-TOOL version 2.2 or later.
n Notes on the Message "Maintenance is in progress"
When you execute a command from the RU PC-TOOL to change the contents of the
flash memory, the connection between the RU and CL temporarily breaks and the
message "Maintenance is in progress" appears at the center of the LCD panel.
In the above instance, the blinking messages "Maintenance is in progress" and "CR
Console communication error" alternately appear at the top of the LCD panel.
While the center of the LCD panel reads "Maintenance is in progress", touches on
the LCD panel do not work. Even if you insert a cassette into its position, no IP
conveyance takes place.

The following commands are used to change the contents of the flash memory:
- MUTL - INSTALL
- VERSION UP - EDIT CONFIGURATION
- EDIT CL NAME - RESTORE

If the Machine Maintenance is started at the time of initialization and a command is
executed to change the contents of the flash memory, the message "Maintenance is in
progress" does not appear.
n Resetting the Message "Maintenance is in progress"
Sequentially touch the upper left and upper right corners of the LCD panel. The
message "Maintenance is in progress" then disappears so that touches on the LCD
panel work.
When you reset the message "Maintenance is in progress" as directed above, it starts
blinking at the top of the LCD panel.
While the message "Maintenance is in progress" blinks at the top of the LCD panel,
it means that a command for changing the contents of the flash memory is executed
from the RU PC-TOOL.
The blinking message "Maintenance is in progress" disappears from the top of the
LCD panel when you turn the RU power OFF and then back ON.
