E5500 Phase Noise Measurement System Version A.02.00
This calibration option requires two synthesizers of which one must
be tunable such that a beatnote can be acquired. For the system to
calibrate, the beatnote frequency must be within the following ranges
shown in
Table
8-5.

or 1/2 the frequency range of the configured analyzer, or whichever is lower.

Connect circuit as per

Offset the carrier frequency of one synthesizer to produce a
beatnote for cal.

After the phase noise system reads the beatnote, set the software
to the same carrier frequency.
Beatnote Frequency Range
10 Hz to 10 kHz
10 Hz to 100 kHz
10 Hz to 1 MHz
10 Hz to 10 MHz
10 Hz to 50 MHz
