9. Hold down the plate door, align the front access door and tighten the two screws at the bottom of the front
access door to hold the door in place.

Absorbance Filters
GloMax Discover comes preinstalled with 9 Absorbance filters in the Absorbance Filter Wheel. When performing
®
an Absorbance read, the instrument will automatically use the correct filter based on the filter specified in the
protocol. If multiple filters are used in a protocol, the instrument will automatically switch between filters, based
on the protocol settings.
Custom Filters
Custom emission filters for Luminescence, BRET, FRET, Fluorescence may be obtained from Semrock (www.
semrock.com) or Chroma Technology Corporation (www.chroma.com). Filters must be a maximum of
5mm thick and have a diameter of 12.5 to 12.7mm. Filters also may be obtained by contacting Promega Technical
Services (techserv@promega.com).
Custom excitation modules must be obtained by contacting Promega Technical Services
(techserv@promega.com).
Excitation
1. To add a custom fluorescence excitation module, hold down the plate door, and using the Phillips-Head
Screwdriver, unscrew the two screws at the bottom sides of the door (Figure 71).
2. Next pull the front access door toward you to remove the door (Figure 71).
3. Remove the Excitation module by unscrewing the thumb screw. The excitation module should slide forward
so that you can remove it.
4. Tap Next to continue.
