Shake Function
For assays that require shaking to efficiently mix reagent prior to the measurement add a Shake step into the
protocol. Select the shaking duration (minutes), the shaking speed (cycles per minute), and the shaking pattern
(linear or orbital). The shaking duration can range from 0–10 minutes, and the cycles per minute can range from
100–500. Select the shaking diameter as 1, 2 or 3mm for all shaking speeds and patterns. Shaking parameters
may need to be optimized based on well size, volume of liquid within the well and shaking time.
Shaking Speeds:
100–200 cycles per minute is considered Low.
300–400 cycles per minute is considered Medium.
400–500 cycles per minute is considered High.
Note: The instrument is not intended to be used as a long-term shaking incubator, and long-term shaking may
!
damage the instrument.
