To change the IP address of your computer:
Connect your computer to the LAN1 port of the Polycom RSS 4000

system using a cross-over network cable.
Change your computer's IP address so it is within the same network

segment as that of the RSS's LAN1 port.
If you need help on how to change your computer's IP settings, please
contact your system administrator.
Changing the System's Initial IP Settings
Now you can access the system's Admin UI from your computer. You can
configure this system to your local network and then access its Admin UI and
Viewer's Portal from any computer within this network.
To change the system's initial IP settings from the Admin UI:
Change your computer's IP address so it is within the same network

segment as that of the Polycom RSS 4000 system's LAN1 port.
The system's default IP address is 192.168.1.254.
Please note down your computer's IP address before changing it. You may need to
restore your computer to this IP address afterwards.

system using a cross-over network cable.
In your Internet Explorer, enter https://192.168.1.254/rss.

(Optional) Click Select language and select a language for the Admin UI.

Enter the default administrator's user name and password (both are
admin by default), and then click Log In.
Change your password and then click OK.

The Product Activation page displays when you log in for the first time.
Enter the activation key and click Update.

If you do not activate the system, you can still use the Admin UI, but the system
does not allow outgoing and incoming calls.You cannot record, live stream, or play
back meetings either.

Delete the last two spaces before pasting the activation key, if it doesn't work, you
need to manually enter the key code. Contact your system administrator after
consecutive failed attempts.
