- coner pins (from the ball joint studs)
Loosen the ball joi nt nuts, but do not remove them
yet.
To prevent the knuckle from falling, support it with a
strap.
Release the three ball joints, using the special
1001
according to the following instructions.
TOOL:
Ball joint remover,

Apply grease

the ball joint remover at Ihe point
shown.
This will ease installation of the tool and prevent
damage to the pressure bolt threads.
Insert Ihe jaws carefully, making sure that you do
not damage the bal l joint boot.
If
necessary, apply
Adjust the jaw spacing by turning the pressure bolt.
penetraMg type
lubricant to loosen
the bali/oint.
