Using a 60 interior cutter, remove 1/4 of the exist-
ing valve seat material.

Using a

seat cutter, cuI the seat to the proper

Make sure all pitting and irregu larities are removed.
After cutting the seat, apply lappi ng compound and
engine oil to the valve face, and lap the valve using
light pressu re.
Change the angle of lapping tool frequently to pre-
vent uneven seal wear.
After lapping. wash any residual compound off the
cylinder head and valve. Recheck the seal conlact
after lapping.
