DTC 9-2 (lAT SENSOR HIGH VOLTAGE)
Before
starting
the
troubleshooting,
check
the
IAT
sensor
2P black
connector
for loose
or
poor
contacts, and recheck the
DTe.

IAT
Sensor System
Inspection
Turn
the ignition
switch to ON
(I).
Check the
IAT
sensor with the HDS pocket tester.
Is
/Jb
out
5
V
indicated?
YES
-
GO
TO
STEP
2.
NO

Intermittent
failure.
loose
or
poor
contact on
the IAT
sensor
2P black
connector.

IAT
Sensor
Inspection
Turn the
ignition
switch to OFF

.
Disconnect
the IAT sensor 2P
black
connect
or.
Con
nect
the wire harness side 2P
connector
ter-
minals
with a
jumper wire.
Connection
:
Gray/
blue
-
Green
/
black
Turn the
ignition switch
to ON
(I),
Check
the
IAT
sensor
with
the
HOS
pocket
tester.
Is
about
0
V
indicated?
YES
- Faulty IAT sensor
NO
-
GO TO STEP

Sen sor Open Circuit
Inspection
Turn the
ignition
switch to OFF
(0).
Remove the jumper wire.
Disconnect the PCM 33P gray
connector.
Check the Gray/blue and Green/black
wires
for
continuity between
the IAT
sensor 2P connector
and
PCM
33P
gray
connector
terminals.
TOOL:
Test
probe,
2 pack

Connection
: Gray/

YES

Replace
the PCM
with
a known
good
