Cylinder head cover
1. Apply silicone seal~' nt to the shaded areas as shown in the
figure.
2. Install the cylinder head cover.
Tightening torque:
4.9-8.8 N·m (50-90 em-kg, 43-78 in-Ib)
Spark plug
1. Apply anti seize compound or molybdenum-based lubricant
to the spark plug threads.
2. Install the spark plugs.
Tightening torque:
15-23 N·m (1.5-2.3 m-kg, 11-17 ft-Ib)
Timing belt guide plate, inner
Caution
• Make sure the timing belt inner guide plate is in-
stalled in the proper direction.
1 . Install the timing belt inner guide plate.
Steps After Installation
i. Fill the radiator with the specified amount and type of engine coolant. (Refer to page E-5.)
2. Connect the negative battery cable.
3. Start the engine and check as follows:
(1) Engine coolant leakage.
(2) Ignition timing. (Refer to page 8-8.)
4. Recheck the engine coolant levels.
