IGNITER
Inspection
1. Disconnect the igniter connector.
Warning
• Do not ground the power connector terminal (Blue:
1-pin), the wiper 20A fuse will be burned.
2. Connect the SST between the igniter and igniter connec-
tor as shown.
3. Connect the SST to the power connector (Blue: 1-pin).
4. Connect a voltmeter between the SST (brown wire) and a
ground.
S. Turn the ignition switch ON.
6. Verify that there is approx. 12V at the terminal.
If not as specified, check related wiring.
Caution
• Do not activate the SW2 switch for more than 1 sec.
7. Push the SW2 switch on the SST while observing the
ohmmeter.
8. Verify that the voltmeter indicates approx. BV.
9. If not as specified, replace the igniter.
10. Disconnect the voltmeter from the brown wire and connect
it to the SST gray wire.
- 11. Repeat Steps 5 through 9.

Inspection
Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance of each lead.
Resistance: 16 kO per 1 m (3.28 ft)
