Overhaul
Caution
• Secure the joint in a vise with protective material (such as copper plates) on the vise jaws.
• Be careful that dust or other foreign material does not enter the joint while the work is being
performed.
• Do not disassemble the wheel-side ball joint.
• Do not wash the joint unless it is being disassembled.
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure, referring to Disassembly Note.
2. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to Assembly Note.
