4.3 The X-300/X-400 menu
● Admin Role
The "Admin Role" column shows which mode you have configured for the device:
– No Ring Redundancy (off)
– HRP Client (HRP-Clt)
– HRP Manager (HRP-Mgr)
– MRP Client (MRP-Clt)
– MRP Manager (MRP-Mgr)
● Oper Role
The "Oper Role" column shows the mode adopted by the device in the ring:
– No Ring Redundancy (off)
– HRP Client (HRP-Clt)
– HRP Manager (HRP-Mgr)
– MRP Client (MRP-Clt)
– MRP Manager (MRP-Mgr)
● RM Status
The "RM Status" column shows whether or not the IE switch is operating as redundancy
manager and whether it has opened or closed the ring in this role.

– If media redundancy in ring topologies is completely disabled, no ring ports are
