Communication settings
Set the communication settings of PLC and PC/PPI
cable.
(1) PLC settings
Set the communication settings of PLC by operating
the SIEMENS programming tool(STEP7-WIN32).

14.2.8 Precautions

GOT alarm list (system alarm) function
Error information cannot be monitored when the GOT is
connected to a SIEMENS PLC.
(The error information on the PLC CPU side can be
monitored.)
For details on the alarm list (system alarm), refer to the
following manual:
GT Designer3 Version1 Screen Design Manual
At system startup
(1) When powering ON the system
Turn ON all PLC CPUs before turning ON the GOT.
If the GOT is turned ON before power-up of the PLC
CPUs, restart the GOT.
(2) When powering OFF a PLC CPU at another station
When a PLC CPU at another station (the PLC CPU to
which the HMI Adapter is not connected) is turned OFF,
monitoring by the GOT is stopped.
To resume the monitoring, restart the GOT.
(Monitoring will not be resumed on GOT even if the
PLC CPU is turned ON again.)
