Electric system
Regolatore raddrizzatore
Il regolatore (1) è fissato al serbatoio
sfiato olio (2) e al telaio della moto.
Il regolatore raddrizzatore è costituito
da un corpo esterno di alluminio
contenente i diodi per raddrizzare la
corrente prodotta dal generatore.
Contiene inoltre un dispositivo
elettronico che regola la corrente
erogata dall'alternatore in funzione
della tensione della batteria.
Se la batteria è scarica, la corrente ha
il valore necessario per ripristinare le
ottimali condizioni operative
dell'accumulatore stesso.
Diversamente se la batteria è carica la
corrente ha un valore più basso.
Note
Controllare la corrente di
ricarica utilizzando lo strumento di
diagnosi "DDS", seguendo le
indicazioni riportate al paragrafo
"Controllo corrente impanto di
ricarica" (Sez. D 5).
Smontaggio regolatore
Rimuovere la sella (Sez. E 2).
Rimuovere il serbatoio carburante
(Sez. L 2).
Aprire la fascetta e scollegare il
connettore alternatore/regolatore dal
cablaggio principale (fare riferimento
alla tavola al capitolo "Disposizioni dei
cablaggi sul motociclo" alla Sez P 1).
Svitare le viti (3) di fissaggio
regolatore al serbatoio (2) sfiato olio.
Importante
Non scollegare i cavi della
batteria a motore avviato, poiché il
regolatore verrebbe
irrimediabilmente danneggiato.
Rimontaggio regolatore
Posizionare il regolatore (1) sul
serbatoio (2) sfiato olio.
Fissarlo con le viti (3).
Bloccare le viti alla coppia prescritta
(Sez. C 3).
Collegare il connettore alternatore/
regolatore al cablaggio principale e
chiudere la fascetta.
Note
Per posizionare correttamente
il cavo del regolatore, richiamato con
il riferimento (14), seguire quanto
indicato nella tavola E al capitolo
"Disposizioni dei cablaggi sul
motociclo" della Sez. P 1.
Installare il serbatoio carburante (Sez.
L 2).
Installare la sella (Sez. E 3).

Rectifier - regulator
The rectifier-regulator (1) is fixed to
the oil breather tank (2) and to
motorcycle frame.
The rectifier-regulator consists of an
aluminium casing containing the
diodes that rectify the current
produced by the generator. It also has
an electronic device controlling the
power supplied by the generator
depending on battery voltage.
If the battery is flat, value of power
supplied can set the battery to its
original optimal operating conditions.
If the battery is charged, power value
will be lower.
Note
To check the charging current,
use the "DDS", please refer to
"Checking the charging system"
(Sect. D 5).
Removing the regulator
Remove the seat (Sect. E 2).
Remove the fuel tank (Sect. L 2).
Open the clamp and disconnect
generator/regulator connector from
the electric system (see diagram in
"Arrangement of wiring on frame"
Sect P 1).
Undo the retaining screws (3) that
hold the regulator to the oil breather
tank (2).
Caution
Do not disconnect the battery
cables while the engine is running.
Disconnecting battery cables when
the engine is running will damage the
regulator.
Refitting the regulator
Position regulator (1) on oil breather
tank (2).
Secure it with the screws (3).
Tighten screws to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3).
Connect regulator wiring connector
to main wiring and lock cable tie.
Note
To correctly position
the regulator cable (14), follow the
instructions of diagram E in
"Arrangement of wiring on frame"
under Sect. P 1.
Install the fuel tank (Sect. L 2).
Install the seat (Sect. E 3).
