DHCP setting

If a DHCP (Dynamc Host Configuraton Protocol) server s nstalled on your net-
work, the machne wll automatcally be assgned an IP address and Subnet Mask
the first tme the machne s turned on. Accordng to the DHCP server settng, a
Gateway address and DNS server address may be assgned as well.
IMPORTANT
• Once the DHCP server has assgned the IP address to your machne, that IP
address MUST be reserved wthn the specfic DHCP scope. Falure to do so could
result n faled operaton when the IP address lease expres.
• After an IP address s assgned to your machne, please turn the DHCP server
settng to "OFF". (Press <Settng>, [Management], [Network Settngs], [TCP/IP
Settngs], [DHCP Settng], and then [OFF] and [Enter].)
NOTE
• You can vew the assgned addresses on the TCP/IP settng menu dsplay.
• The IP address and Subnet Mask assgned from the DHCP server cannot be
modfied.
• A "Gateway Address" and "DNS server address" wll not be assgned, f the pr-
mary and secondary address have already been regstered.
• If you are not utlzng a DHCP server, please turn DHCP to "OFF" and manually
assgn the IP address and Subnet Mask. See pages 1-8 and 1-9 for operatonal
nstructons.
