Select whether to convert the documents nto a "PDF", "TIFF-S"
or "TIFF" format when sendng an e-mal.
• PDF
The document s converted nto PDF format. However, a PDF
file can only be transmtted to an e-mal nbox.
• TIFF-S (ITU-T T.37 smple mode)
The document s converted nto a TIFF format based on T.37
smple mode. T.37 s an nternatonal standard for Internet
faxng. When a document s sent n smple mode format, t can
be receved normally by other Internet fax devces. However,
all attached documents are converted to A4 sze and 200 dp
resoluton.
• TIFF (ITU-T T.37 full mode)
The document s converted nto a TIFF format and s sent
at the orgnal document sze and resoluton selected durng
scannng.
"TIFF Image Encodng Method" sets the mage encodng
method for sendng documents wth "TIFF". Select "MH",
"MR", "MMR", or "JBIG".
NOTE
• Ths settng s effectve only for e-mal sent from a computer.
For the attached file format of e-mal sent from the machne,
you should set t usng the machne's control panel.
• However, the "TIFF Image Encodng Method" settng s effec-
tve for both e-mal sent from computer and machne.
Select whether to attach the followng subject lne and text
message automatcally nto an e-mal, when these tems are not
filled n by the user.

Text: This is an e-�ail �essage.
Please see the file attached.
When "Insert text" s selected, you can also select whether to
add the sender nformaton to the text.
The sender nformaton can be stored n "SMTP/POP server set-
tngs" dalog (see page 4-34).
NOTE
• Ths settng s effectve only for e-mal sent from a computer.
However, "The sender nformaton" settng s effectve for both
e-mal sendng from computer and machne.
