Searching for a destination

NOTE
In order to search an LDAP server, the server must be regstered n advance. Con-
tact your system admnstrator. For more nformaton on server set up, see "LDAP
Settngs" on page 4-42.

When the "Address Book" screen appears (see page 2-15), clck [Search].

Enter the search nformaton.
Descrptons
A Select the server that contans the destnaton. Usually, you do not need to
change the server. If you are not sure about t, ask your system admnstrator.
B • Name
Enter the name or part of a name to be searched.
• Fax
Enter the fax number or a part of the fax number to be searched.
• E-mal
Enter part of the e-mal address to be searched.
• Department
Ths s not an ndependent field. To use ths field ether the Name, Fax
or e-mal should also be entered.
C • Any
Searches any nformaton n ths field, ncludng "blanks".
• Intal
Searches for contacts that begn wth the characters entered n ths
field.
• Fnal
Searches for contacts that end wth the characters entered n ths field.
• Equal
Searches for contacts that match exactly wth the nformaton entered
n ths field.
• Not Use
Informaton n ths field (ncludng blanks) wll not be used for searchng.
D • AND
Searches for contacts that meet all the entered crtera.
• OR
Searches for contacts that meet any of the entered crtera.
