The OSPF Interface Table Edit window displays the following fields:
♦ IP Address – The IP address of this OSPF interface.
♦ Area ID – The IP address of the area.
♦ lf Type – The interface type, such as Broadcast.
♦ Admin. Status – The administrative status of the OSPF in the router. Enabled means that the
OSPF process is active on at least one interface. Disabled means the process is not active on any
interface.
♦ Priority – The priority of this interface. The value 0 means that this router is not eligible to
become the designated router on the current network. If more than one router has the same
priority, the router ID is used.
♦ Hello Interval (sec) – The amount of seconds between Hello packets. All routers attached to a
common network must have the same Hello Interval.
♦ Time Before Declare Router Dead (sec) – The number of seconds a router's Hello packets
have not been detected, before the router's neighbors declare the router to be down. The value
must be multiple of the Hello Interval value. All routers attached to a common network must
have a value specified for this parameter.
♦ lf State – The OSPF interface state:
Down – The OSPF interface is down.
Loopback – The OSPF interface is in the Loopback state.
Waiting – The OSPF interface is currently waiting.
Point to Point – The OSPF interface is in the point-to-point state.
Designated Router – The OSPF interface is the designated router.
