Removing and installing brake booster,

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Brake filling and bleeding device , e. g. -VAS 5234-
♦ Extraction bottle (commercially available)
♦ Repair kit - 1H0 698 311 A-
Removing
– By pressing the brake pedal several times, eliminate the vac‐
uum in the brake servo unit.
– Remove master brake cylinder

– Pull vacuum hose out of brake servo.
– Remove knee airbag ⇒ Interior body work; Rep. gr. 69 ; Knee
airbags; removing and installing knee airbag with ignition
– Remove the left footwell vent ⇒ Heating system, air condi‐
tioning system; Rep. gr. 87 ; Air duct; Remove and install
driver side footwell vent .
