The master brake cylinder must not be repaired.

Removing
– Disconnect battery earth strap ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr.
27 ; Battery; Disconnecting and connecting battery .
– Remove engine trim panel where present ⇒ Rep. gr. 10 ;
Engine trim panel; removing and installing engine trim panel .
– Remove air filter housing -1- ⇒ Rep. gr. 23 ; Air filter; Re‐
moving and installing air filter housing .
– Unlock and remove plug connection from the air mass meter
- G70- -3-.
– Press the unlocking buttons on the crankcase ventilation hose
-4- and pull off the suction hose -1-.
– Unlock the plug connection from the crankcase ventilation
hose -4- and disconnect, if present.
– Detach vacuum hoses -2- and -3-.
– Release screw clamps -5- and remove the intake hose from
the turbocharger.
– Lay sufficient non-fluffing cloths around the engine and gear‐
box.
