Turn the Scanner Drive Gear to move the Scanner to
the right side of the copier. Then, remove three screws
and the Scanner.
NOTE
Mount the Scanner so that it touches against the Posi-
tioning Plate of the Shaft Stand.

1. Remove two screws and the Exposure Lamp Ter-
minal.
2. Slide out the Exposure Lamp.

3. Using a soft cloth dampened with alcohol, clean
the Lamp by wiping its surface gently in one direc-
tion.
NOTE
When reinstalling the Lamp, use care not to allow the
protruding navel of the Lamp to hit against the Lamp
Reflector and that the protruding navel points toward
the opening in the Lamp Reflector.

Turn the Scanner Drive Gear to move the Scanner
away from the Mirrors. Then, wipe clean the 1st/2nd/
3rd Mirrors with a soft cloth.
NOTE
An alcohol-dampened cloth may be used if the Mirror
is seriously contaminated.
