Monitoring of oscillations that cannot be eliminated during stopping
If an oscillation cannot be controlled during stopping, the damping factor is gradually reduced.
The error message E63 is output depending on the setting in parameter P159. Whether or not
an oscillation can be eliminated is detected as described below: After the internal setpoint has
been set to zero, the zero crossings of the output velocity are counted. After the ninth zero
crossing, the damping factor is set to zero and the sway control system stops controlling the
sway.

Error messages

10.5.1

General information

The sway control system outputs error messages and warning messages for diagnostics via
the DCC_SCCOMMON block.
The messages can be processed in the crane control system using the "FAULT1" and
"FAULT2" error words and set bits. Because several bits can be set at once, more than one
error may be present.
Danger to life due to unexpected machine movement
In case of error, unexpected movements of the machines can occur that result in injury or
death.
Trigger a suitable response in case of an error in the higher-level control.
The SIMOCRANE CeCOMM program can be used for diagnostics.
The current errors are displayed by pressing the "E" key from the main menu or the display
screens. The error history can be called via the "H" key (see Chapter Monitor (tab) (Page 271)).
Each error has a number, a header, an error description and information on how to remedy it.
Errors that are transferred to the PLC are identified using an error bit. Errors without error bit
should be interpreted as warnings. Both errors and warnings are visible in the SIMOCRANE
CeCOMM diagnostic program.
