Variable blocked regions
Before a variable blocked region, the velocity is reduced to P16/P56 with sway control and the
blocked region is entered at this velocity. Limiting to 0% is not possible to permit learning of the
variable (internally learned) blocked regions. If a blocked region is entered in manual mode, the
status bit POS_IN_BR_MAN is set.

During soft approach in manual mode with sway control deactivated (SC_ON = False), the
trolley is braked in good time before a blocked region and any oscillation is ignored. In this case,
the crane driver must always monitor the sway condition in order to prevent a collision due to
excessive oscillation.
We therefore recommend activating sway control whenever soft approach is used.
Note
Blocked regions are not taken into account in positioning mode (POS). If the Hoist_TakeOver
function is active, the hoist is moved in MAN mode and the trolley in POS mode. Blocked
regions are no longer observed by the trolley.
