CODE NO.22 TP SENSOR CIRCUIT
(SIGNAL VOLTAGE LOW)
STEP
1) Disconnect coupler from TP sensor with
ignition switch OFF.
2) With ignition switch ON, check voltage at
each of "P" and "Gr" wire terminals.

Is voltage about 4 – 5V at each terminal?
1) Connect TP sensor coupler.
2) Disconnect ECM (PCM) couplers.
3) Check resistance between terminals under

each conditions below.
Between A11 and C17: 2.5 kW – 6 kW
Between C7 and C17: 170 W – 15.5 kW
Are they within specifications?

NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform final check, referring to "FINAL CHECK" in this
section to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.

Go to Step 2.
Intermittent trouble or
faulty ECM (PCM).
Recheck referring to
"INTERMITTENT AND
POOR CONNECTION" in
Section 0A.
NO
"P" wire open, "P" wire
shorted to ground circuit
or "G/R" wire, "Gr" wire
shorted to ground circuit
or poor A11 connection.
If wire and connection are
OK, substitute a known-
good ECM (PCM) and
recheck.
Faulty TP sensor, or poor
TP sensor-to-coupler
connection.
1. ECM (PCM) coupler disconnected
