Single Character Commands·
The following commands require only a single character
or keystroke in order to access the various features.
• BACKSPACE «BS» moves the current position one
print position in the opposite direction of printing.
• CARRIAGE RETURN «CR> ) moves the current po-
sition to the Left Margin.
• FORM FEED «FF» ejects the current page from the
printer.
• HORIZONTAL TAB «HT» moves the current po-
sition to the next horizontal tab stop.
• VERTICAL TAB «VT» moves the current position
to the next vertical tab stop.
• LINE FEED «LF» moves the current position down
one line without affecting the horizontal position.
• SPACE «SP» moves the current position one print
position in the direction of printing.

BACKSPACE
This command will cause a backward (usually) movement
of one column width. The column width depends on the
current pitch (10, 12, or 15) and the current setting of the
Horizontal Motion Index.
If
Backward Print is "ON," the
Backspace movement will actually be forward.

CARRIAGE RETURN
Sending this command causes the print position to move
all the way to the Left Margin. The command terminates
both Graphics Modes and Backward Printing.
