16. Conv Factor

0 = Use last cost as market cost (replacement
cost). When last cost changes as items are
received, market cost changes as well. This is
the most common market cost basis.
1 = Use List/Base as market cost.
2 = use market cost as market cost. With this
option you must manually maintain the
market cost of the item.
3 = Use cost % as market cost. If
POS will stop and ask for a cost to be entered
even though you have average and market
cost set up.
4 = Gross margin includes discount using average
cost.
Average cost + discount = market cost
5 = Gross margin includes discount using last
cost.
Last cost + discount = market cost
6 = Gross margin includes discount using
List/Base.
List/Base + discount = market cost
1. Enter the multiplication factor (9999.9999)
needed to convert to a different unit of measure
other than each. For example:
Board Feet = Number of board feet in one unit
thickness x width x length
Examples:
2x4x8 = 5.3334
2x4x12 = 8.0000
Square Feet = Number of square feet in one unit
Example:
4x8 = 32.0000
Lineal Feet = Number of lineal feet in one unit
Examples:
10' piece = 10.0000
16' piece = 16.0000
Others = Any other item requiring a conversion
factor
Examples:
Roll of insulation of 83-1/3 sq. ft. = 83.3334
Ceiling tile of 40 sq. ft. per box = 40.0000
2. On type 2 items, you must enter a conversion
factor for 1 foot.
3. Leave this field blank if there is no conversion
factor for this item and you wish the item to be
priced and controlled by each.
