Behind The Stand Cover
24. Replace the high-voltage terminal covers on the fuser high-voltage
terminals.
25. Using the screw you removed earlier, reconnect the ground wire (FG
wire) to the printer frame.
26. Reconnect the AC lines "L" (black) and "N" (white) to their proper
terminals on the AC line terminal strip on the new flash power supply.
27. Replace the cover on the AC line terminal strip.
28. Reconnect connectors J11 and TRG to the flash power supply.
29. Reinstall the stand cover (see page I–246).
30. Reinstall the right rear cover (see page I–240).
31. Plug the printer power plug into its electrical outlet.

Capacitor

Follow the steps below to replace the capacitor inside the flash power supply.
WARNING
When replacing the flash power supply capacitor, take care of the
following:
After you turn off the main power, wait at least 5 minutes for the high-
voltage DC charge in some components to be completely discharged
before proceeding to the next step.
When removing the wires connected to the capacitor terminals, mark or
tag the wires and their terminals with identifying marks, so that later you
can properly reconnect the wires.
VORSICHT
Beim Auswechseln des Kondensators des Blitzlampen–Netzteils ist
folgendes zu beachten:
Nachdem Sie die Stromzufuhr unterbrochen haben, müssen Sie
mindestens 5 Minuten lang warten, damit sich die Hochspannung
(Gleichstrom) einiger Komponenten vollständig entladen kann. Erst
dann dürfen Sie mit dem nächsten Arbeitsschritt beginnen.
Beschriften oder etikettieren Sie beim Entfernen der Kabel zum
Kondensator alle kabel und Anschlüsse so, daß Sie diese Kabel später
wieder ordnungsgemäß anschließen können.
