Warehouse Model Analysis

The Warehouse Use Model is a good example of an "AP+Clients" Adaptive
Mode environment. By nature, a warehouse's content is not static. Shelves
and floor space can contain different amounts of materials that are being
loaded or removed. This makes a site survey difficult because the RF coverage
varies depending on the amount and location of material coming and going
through the warehouse. Additionally, client stations may be mounted on
moving objects like forklifts that move throughout the warehouse. The
combination of mobile clients and varying levels of obstructions and open
space mean there is no single optimum level of RF coverage that can be set
on the APs.
For these reasons, the "AP+Clients" adaptive mode will provide the most
reliable RF coverage because power levels will be increased in an attempt to
maintain connection with a moving client that is in a weak coverage area and
does not try to roam to another AP on its own.
