Configuring Pulse Arbs

The basic steps in this example are the same steps used to program the Sine,
Step, Ramp, Staircase, and Exponential Arbs. The only difference is in the
individual Arb parameters. These differences are described in the reference
section at the end of this chapter.
Step 1 – Select a Voltage or Current Pulse Arb:
Press the Arb key twice or press the Arb key and then Properties to
access the Arb Selection window.
In the Arb Type dropdown menu, select either a Voltage or Current
Arb type. Then navigate to and select the Pulse output type.
Step 2 – Configure the Pulse Properties:
To configure the parameters of the Pulse, press the Properties key or
select the Arb Properties button.
Enter the voltage or current values for the level before and after the
pulse (V

Enter the time parameters: t

Specify what happens when the pulse completes – select whether the
output returns to the DC value that was in effect before the pulse
started, or whether the output should remain at the last Arb value.
Specify if the Arb should repeat, either continuously or only for a
specified repeat count. A repeat count of 1 runs the Arb once.
Select Edit Points to convert the parameters to a User-defined Arb.
