Time Setting
Time Setting Source
Manual Setting: Click Manual setting to change time as needed. You can also click the Get Time
from PC button to get PC's time setting for switch.
NTP client: Select the Time Setting Source so that the NTP client permits the RocketLinx ES7528
to enable the NTP client service. NTP client is automatically enabled if you change Time source to
NTP Client. The system sends a request packet to acquire current time from the NTP server you
assigned.
IEEE 1588
With the Precision Time Protocol IEEE 1588 there is a standard available that makes it possible to
synchronize the clocks of different end devices over a network at speeds faster than one microsec-
ond.
To enable IEEE 1588, select Enable in the PTP Status and choose Auto, Master or Slave Mode.
After the time is synchronized, the system time displays the correct time from the PTP server.
Timezone Setting
Select the time zone where the switch is located. The following table lists the time zones for different
locations for your reference. The default time zone is GMT Greenwich Mean Time.
Daylight Saving Time Set to when the Enable Daylight Saving Time start and end, during the Daylight Saving Time, the
device's time is one hour earlier than the actual time.
Apply
Click Apply to apply the settings.
Note: You must Save the settings (Page 137), if you want to maintain these settings if the
Switch(config)# clock timezone
