5. Go to the rear of the library and locate the QIP using the QIP identifier. Note
that QIPs are numbered from the bottom up (see Figure 8-3).

Replacing the QIP

1. Remove all cabling connected to the
QIP itself; cables from the SCSI
ports to the drives may remain in
place.
2. Remove any SFPs and set them aside
for plugging into the new QIP.
3. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to
loosen the two captive screws on the
left side of the QIP (Figure 8-4).
